PRACTICE & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Marie Aufort-Marcadon is a strong expert in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, analytic chemistry and formulation. She joined ICOSA in 2011 as patent associate within the Biotech-Chemistry team. Marie Aufort-Marcadon graduated from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) in 2013 and became European Patent Attorney in 2016.
Marie Aufort-Marcadon has been awarded a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Paris at the Pharmacy Faculty of Châtenay Malabry, a university specialized in Therapeutics Innovation. Her thesis was related to the development of radiopharmaceuticals for cancer molecular imaging at the Laboratoire de Chimie pour le Vivant du CEA Saclay (DSV/iBiTech-S/SIMOPRO). She has worked as a post-doctorate researcher at the Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles where she developed contrasting agents targeted by MRI.
She is graduated with an engineer degree from Chimie-ParisTech (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris) and she also holds a Master in Chemistry and Physico-Chemistry for Life Sciences.
She intervenes in drafting patents and examination prosecutions; she developed an expertise in filing and managing portfolio of supplementary protection certificate (SPC).
